Taking over
The first step
- Is to learn all you can about the project
- The documentation, especially the Business Case
- (It does have a Business Case doesn't it ?!)
- The project's goals and objectives
- Names and responsibilities of all those involved
- What is the project's status
- In terms of budget and deliverables
- where is it in the project life span, or schedule
- And so on
- Are there any obvious reasons for the dysfunction
- Perhaps prolonged overtime or just over work?
Any of these may require specific attention
