Heading off upper management adverse project OP

Tackle these issues as early as possible in the project
- I.e. at the "front end"
Always respect the "management hierarchy"
Make sure the project has a sponsor
- And make sure that sponsor knows his/her responsibilities acting as a buffer
- If not, embark on some judicious education!
Use a steering committee
- If the project is big or important enough
Seek an external facilitator as a lobbyist or arbitrator
- If the going gets really rough
