6. Changes in project fundamentals
Let's face it
- Customers/clients do change their minds
- And at the most awkward of times !
- Often for good reason
- Because of changes in market conditions, or priorities
Treat such major changes
- As effectively a new project
- With a new (revised) budget, scope and plan
- And get agreement from the project's sponsor
- And re-launch the project
- To establish a new commitment by the team
It does not help
- To insist on delivering a product
