Preventing non-conformance
To prevent non-conformance, quality must be built in to the production system by
- Clearly defining requirements
- Some times referred to as "form, fit and function"
- Properly planning the work
- Making sure that qualified people are available for the work
- Making sure that the necessary tools and materials are available
- Obstacles faced by the workers are consistently removed
- Every effort is made to ensure that any errors are not repeated
