Lessons Learned - 2
4. Avoid misguided information
- A new management system can send many messages
- That might not be those intended by its sponsors
- For example: What is measured is valued
- But what is not measured can be safely ignored!
5. Product scope
- Be very clear which functions and features are:
- Fully implemented; Feasible but not included; included but not yet implemented
- Perceptions that the system is incomplete generates uncertainty and lack of confidence
- Differences in perceptions cause conflict between stakeholders
