Step 1

• Projects may still finish on time and within budget

  • But do not necessarily meet the corporate objectives
• Many organizations initiate more projects than the organization can handle

  • Leading to much frustration and disappointment
• Therefore, determine just how many projects the organization can conduct concurrently

  • Of what size and complexity
  • And consuming what critical (i.e. limited) corporate resources
• Make these limits clear to all management levels
