- Limit communications to periodic updates
- Either provide all information in minute detail
- Or in insufficient detail to be useful
- Rely solely on technical experts for technical briefings
- Expect all team members to understand the technical terms of each others specialties
- Reuse identical briefing materials when different audiences have different interests
- Exclude from meetings any who wish to attend
- Send messages and reminders multiple times
