Purchase order forms

• The issuing of a standard purchase order (PO) form is appropriate when

  • The goods ordered consist of off-the-shelf units
  • Payment is on the basis of a fixed price

    • Or quantity-based unit prices
  • And no significant work is involved

    • Other than delivery

• Alternatively

  • If the work to be done is of a very minor nature
