Hints for the project manager or leader

• Recognize that team building takes time
• Teamwork cannot be forced

  • It has to be encouraged
• Start early with team-building efforts

  • A formal kickoff meeting is a great way to do this
  • And start with a compelling project vision
• Plan and use a team-building process

• Don't stop, reinforce throughout the project

  • The work itself is the best motivator
• Don't be afraid to ask for help
