Performance Measurement Indices

The foregoing gives rise to several indices

• CPI = Cost Performance Index = BCWP/ACWP

  • I.e. Earned divided by Actual
• SPI = Schedule Performance Index = BCWP/BCWS

  • I.e. Earned divided by Budget-planned-to-date
• Combined Schedule Cost Index

  • I.e. SPI x CPI
• VAC = Variance at Completion
