When preparing a description for this position, you should consider including the following:
- Prepare progressive levels of estimate from order-of-magnitude (parametric, top-down) to detailed (bottom-up), based on the latest data available, as appropriate to the current phase of the project
- Assist the project manager and team in developing budget-based work breakdown structures
- Convert estimates to budgets
- Assist project manager in decisions on alternative approaches or methods based on cost information
