WP Definition

The Work Package is:

• A generic term for a unit or element within a WBS at the lowest level of its branch

  • But not necessarily at the lowest level of the whole structure
• It defines the parameters covering the work involved in creating its particular intermediate or final deliverable

  • I.e. an element of the project's scope
