• The so-called "Rolling Wave" is an approach to project planning

  • And relates to the project's time scale
• It is appropriate for certain types of project

  • Or is appropriate under certain conditions
• It recognizes that detailed planning for the immediate future is much easier and useful

  • Than trying to plan in detail for the whole of the project
