What is a "Product Breakdown Structure"?

As we described in Issacon # 1062

• Work breakdown, or "Work Breakdown Structure" (WBS) is the name given to a technique in project management in which the project is broken down into "manageable chunks"
• This is arguably the most important and powerful technique in project management

  • Since it serves many purposes
• Product Breakdown Structure is the name we give to a particular application of WBS
