What should a PM Guideline contain?
The following is a suggested set of headings
- Guideline name and number
- Goal (of the guideline)
- Comment (about the guideline, if any)
- Expectations (as a result of applying the guideline)
- Particulars (I.e. clarifications of the Expectations)
- Definitions (of terms used in the guideline)
- Primary Responsibility (for the conduct of the particular guideline)
- Cross References (to corporate policy, if any)
- Conflict Issues (to be resolved, if any)
- Attachments (flow charts, diagrams etc. if any)
