• Ask each of them four simple questions

  1. What must you do to finish this project?
  
  2. How long will that take you?
  3. What needs to be done before you can complete your work?
  4. Given this and other demands on your time, how long will your work take?

• Question 3 may well reveal others who need to be contacted

  • They were simply not aware of their obligation to the project
