Some PPMO Issues

• A PPMO is probably only cost-effective if

  • The organization has a significant number of projects
  • They are central to the organization's success
  • The executive wishes to manage them as a whole

• The structure and style depends on

  • The area of project management application

    • E.g. engineering/construction, administration, new product development, new technology, etc
    • And on the type of industry, i.e. low or high-tech
