- By centralizing common project tasks
- Consolidate project reports for senior management
- Provide a central repository for project data
- E.g. through a suitable 'web space' (see next pages)
- Establish a 'home' for project managers and PM specialists
- Especially so that they may provide mutual support and benefit from each others' experiences
- And so have their experience, talent and availability used more effectively
