Before the start of project execution
- Ensure the project objectives remain consistent with the Business Case
- Select and appoint, or reconfirm, the project manager
- And set his or her terms of reference for project execution
At the start of work
- Recommend and approve the Project Brief or Charter
- Including the scope of deliverables, the quality grades, and
- A Design Brief, and/or architecture, as appropriate
- Establish project management and technology tolerances
